| Employee Spotlight of the Month — Joy Thorne |

 Access Health Care would like to bestow the upcoming employee spotlight to Joy Thorne. Mrs. Thorne works at the compliance office, where she is the assistant to Lynda Benson, Chief Compliance Officer, and her regulatory team, who regard her as the nerve center, or crucial faction of their department. Joy Thorne joined Access Health Care only nine months ago, and she is already noted as an outstanding feature to her team.
Communication is the key element within all of our Access offices. However, Joy Thorne is the nerve center for any of the regulatory functions in her department. Not only does she communicate with everyone extremely well, but all of her co-workers agree that she is a pleasure to work with. Joy works diligently with the team which handles all of the outside audits and with the excellent team that handles all medical records. Because of their hard work, Access is constantly receiving kudos from those agencies for staying within compliance guidelines. Mrs. Thorne wears many hats at Access Health Care. While she is offering her services with the regulatory team, she is also managing many crucial MRA functions for the company. Joy single handedly gets every managed care encounter for 5 of the 6 risk insurance carriers checked for proper field integrity, scanned in our files for archiving and mailed off to the carriers ensuring that we have tracking information on every box of claims that go out. Lynda Benson states, "She keeps me on track, like a living, breathing, Outlook in the office, in addition to the one I have in my office." Finally, Joy is the nerve-center for the paperwork inventory, ordering and delivery of all medical records, forms, and charts. She keeps the inventory current and available for the entire company. Whew, Joy has to have a lot of patience and perseverance when ordering and managing these kinds of tasks. Joy takes her job responsibilities to Access very seriously, and is professional, yet has a terrific sense of humor. For example, when I asked her what her favorite part of her job was, she replied, "Friday, at 5:00. Just kidding, my favorite part of the job is dealing with the different offices on a daily basis and helping them with their paper work orders." You wouldn't know it by her great sense of work ethic, but Joy does enjoy her time away from the work place as well. She loves spending time with her husband Bruce and their twelve year old son Joshua. She truly enjoys working outside in the yard, whether in the garden or just raking leaves. Joy is an outdoor gal and she always looks forward to the Thorne Family Fishing Adventures. These are only a few of the many reasons why Joy Thorne was chosen as the spotlight candidate.
