Hello!
My name is Joelle Hollowell and I am the new Director of Billing for Access Health Care. I was raised in Cincinnati and was blessed with a wonderful family; my husband Thomas, 3 kids, and 2 grandsons. Thomas spent 12 years as a firefighter/paramedic and is now a dialysis nurse at a Tampa clinic. My son Danny is a Marine currently stationed at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia. He's had 2 tours in Iraq and will most likely be sent to Afghanistan later this year. He is a linguist/translator for the Corps; speaking Arabic, Farsi, and Pashto. Danny has 2 sons; Jeremiah (3 yrs.) and Caden (1 yr.). My middle son, Kevin, just graduated from college (UC) with a degree in Environmental Geology and is hoping to work for the EPA. My daughter Kelly is still in school working on her BA. I enjoy scuba diving, canoeing, and am quite the history buff. The Civil War and Egyptology fascinate me. I have been in Florida for only 3 years; mostly in Orlando. A little about my work experience. I have been in medical billing/practice administration for almost 30 years. I started out at 18 yrs. old doing charge entry for a small, single physician practice. From there, my career exploded. I spent 10 years at University Internal Medicine Associates bringing on new residents from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine. At the time I left (UIMA), there were 243 physicians of 9 specialties. This company was instrumental to my background. My vision for the Billing Department as well as Access is simple....to get everyone talking! We must get all departments sharing information and communicating with one another to discuss their issues and solve problems. I'd like to find simpler ways of doing things; streamline processes by cutting out needless steps that just slow the workflow. I look forward to hearing your ideas and sharing my thoughts as well. We all need to be on the same page; working together for a common goal. |
