Interventional Cardiology – Board Certified

  Doctor Mahmoud Nimer, M.D. holds board certifications in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease and in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been in private practice in the Brooksville area since 1994.

Dr. Nimer received his medical degree from the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan and completed a number of fellowships; Interventional Cardiology at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts; Cardiovascular Medicine at the University Of Massachusetts Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts; and a Fellowship in Preventive Cardiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Worcester City Hospital in Massachusetts and a Residency in Family Medicine at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Dr. Nimer authored a paper on non-cardiac surgery on the a cardiac patient which was included in the Second Edition of Intensive Care Medicine, published by Little, Brown and Company.

Dr. Nimer maintains hospital staff privileges at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill Regional and Brooksville Regional Hospital in Hernando County as well as the Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point in Pasco County. A deeply caring and dedicated man, Dr. Nimer is truly a Cardiovascular Specialist with "heart".
